The third ingredient of our Acts 2 recipe for church growth is Prayer. Prayer has been badly misunderstood by the church and the world, so its practice has languished accordingly. Pastor Trevor spends considerable time reviewing the bigger picture of WHO the Church is in God's earthly plan, in hopes of drawing out a grander appreciation of WHAT Prayer is to the Church. Namely, prayer is the primary means by which we afford greater "spiritual license" to God, so that He might have greater influence in us, the Church and the world, without violating the "rules of engagement" for the spiritual controversy between God and Satan. Prayer is powerful because it most directly represents the forfeit of our will out of reverence for God's greater will. The Cross "ties up the strong man," and through prayer, the Church acts as a conduit for the authority of Christ to "loot the strong man's house." So why aren't our prayers always answered? Listen and find out!
