After further prayer and feedback from some godly counsel, the pastor decided to fast-track his teaching on the overseer, in favour of a special Invitation to whomever may be ready to humbly admit who they are before God: people lacking both the power to live for others, AND even the desire to change! Based on Romans 7 and Philippians 2, Trevor suggests that God depends neither on our strength OR a benevolent will toward the things of God. All He wants from us is to admit our spiritual bankruptcy, and come empty. God will provide both the power and the will to bring Heaven to Earth in our lives! The pastor bridges the two themes with a thorough confession of how unworthy he is to be an overseer (pastor)… how only God is good, and He uses “wretches” like the apostle Paul, the overseer Trevor, and YOU. At the request of the ten-year-old boy who records our sermons, the Invitation song led by his mother has been included in this recording. (Our apologies for the low volume… turn up your speakers!)
