Teachers are the final of five ministry roles described in the eleventh verse of Ephesians 4. Broadly, these are the people in the church whom God has wired with a love of, and capacity for, KNOWLEDGE. Effective teachers are often strong in details and administration. They balance the other ministries with their accuity and precision. But on their own, they may become "puffed up" (1 Cor. 8:1) and cold, or lost in a deep sea of empty facts. The Bible warns that few should be called teachers (Jam. 3:1), but thank God for those who have faced the risk and invested themselves in the learning and sharing of the divine knowledge found in the Scriptures!
