This message is the fourth of five in a study of the "systems" that work together to form the living body of Christ: the Church. Pastor Trevor spends several minutes distinguishing between the essential (biblical) definition of pastoral ministry, and the title that has been commonly conferred upon all church leaders. Ironically, while the Bible reserves the "fatherhood" of the church for men, pastoral ministry really is the "motherhood" of the church - interested in hospitality and healing. So it is argued that pastoral ministry, in the truest biblical sense, will draw heavily on the female population. The message highlights the life and philosophy of Mother Teresa, whose ministry does not wholly capture the Gospel, but without which there is no full Gospel. Using numerous quotes from her writings and letters, this message is begging the Spirit of God to raise up and inspire the "mothers" in the Church!
