The Israel-Church Connection

Now that Jesus has come, what is the connection between God's Covenant with Israel and God's Covenant with the Church? Do Gentile Christians automatically become part of Israel's Promise? Do Jews automatically become part of Christ's Promise? Or does God now have two separate families? This sermon, based on Ephesians 2, suggests that Christ's Cross has abolished the Law - the very thing that makes an Israelite/Jew holy or distinct from the rest of humanity - and that the presence of the Holy Spirit has become the Constitution of a "new humanity." Throughout the Bible's history, we begin to see how God is drawing nearer and nearer to us, until the End, when we are completely One with Him!
